you need to have a babble file the babble file is literally just a file that you open each day and write in. your stream of consciousness should go into this file. you do not edit this file. you only add to it.
it is an append-only log.
right now, my file is at 810 lines.
what are the benefits?
- it helps you think
- you can look back at your thought-process and see where you can improve
- you can immediately send what you are thinking to others (because it is written out)
- it trains you to articulate your thoughts
- it trains you to produce content rather than just consume
what are the drawbacks?
- you have a file containing all of your thoughts throughout the day. (privacy concerns)
- it takes some effort to write everything out.
- your hands/fingers get tired.
I honestly think that you will be served well if you introduce a babble file into your life. Try it, if you notice that it's not helping, stop, if it is, keep going!
So far, I like it though and I hope you do too!
